Ph. Xanadu cuttings...

This morning, on my walk, I stumbled across a huge pile of freshly cut philodendron Xanadu cuttings. I took sixteen. They all have half a dozen leaves and from four to twelve inches of stem. Thick stem. From what I gather these should be no-brainers to plant but I have no experience with these. I assume I should let them lie in a shady place for a day or so before I plant them? Any advice is much appreciated...thank you!
