burgundy sunflower seeds from Tampa Swap...Tom??

I have a burgundy sunflower in a pot open yesterday. I was thinking it was a birdseed escapee till it opened this beautiful dark color. Now I can't remember who gave me the seed or anything about it. I must have picked it up at the Tampa Swap. Was it from you Tom? I remember going through your seed box.

Also, Tom, I have a few more orchid pots empty if you want to stop by sometime and pick them up. Lmk,
Lori

It could have been Lori, I had about 10 different sunflower seeds that were not the traditional yellow.

I'll take those orchid pots. I have plenty more Pantera bowls, do you want some more?

Hello. I am totally new at gardening! I will be teaching Kindergarten in August and I was hoping to plant sunflowers in the garden bed outside my classroom. I could use some suggestions like what type of seeds? Will they grow if I plant them in September? Any guidance would be wonderful!
