Cardboard 'palm,' Zamia furfuracea. Those are nice. I have heard of dogs getting sick from eating the seed pods.

The common name is Coontie. They are a native shrub not a tree and not really a palm. They get cone flowers from the base that turn a bright red. The red is the seeds. It's not a regular looking flower. Very salt tolerant.

Not Coontie. Coontie is Zamia pumila. Tim is correct. The common name is Cardboard Palm. Watch for volunteers as birds will eat and then spread the seeds where you don't want them.
