Don't you just love them? I keep the back of the property untouched for the wildlife and I always know when Tommy and Tilly are out when I see the tall grass swaying back ad forth :)

I see them in the vacant lot next door to me all the time. Some hit one in the road once with a car, I can't help thinking some kid did it on purpose. Serial killer in the making.

He's probably enjoying munching on your grass. It's so enjoyable when the local wildlife comes to visit, well as long as the wildlife isn't destructive! lol

Made me laugh, Katkin. Could have been a mindless teenager having fun, or perhaps mom going to the store and looking back at the baby in the backseat while drinking her coffee. Ooops, what was that bump?

Turtles must be on the move lately. I found a florida box turtle a few days ago walking back by the chicken pens. I think he was trying to get a drink. I hadn't seen one before (I'm not from FL) and had to take his picture and go 'google' him lol.

Unfortunarely, last I heard (10 years ago or so), Florida Box Turtles were even more scarce than Gophers. So count your lucky stars to have one wandering your area.
