Things Near Selby

I want to welcome my friend MuscledBear to GW! He's headed to Selby on Friday and I was trying to think of the other places to see and nurseries in the area. The Ringling Art museum and Mansion for sure, Mariposa nursery, Spanish Gardens, what is the other nursery down there that's so good....I can't remember?

MuscledBear has a Masters of Science in Plant Breeding and Genetics/Crop and Soil Sciences.....but he's a computer programmer. I had to share that with you because it just SLAYS ME!!!!!

Welcome Bill....LOL

OH!

And can't forget the (non-public) gardens of Anna & Hester!

(Sorry gals, but your gardens can compete with Selby any time in my book)

Wow! Always scanning the threads for nuggets of info. I really haven't been to many nurseries this year. So I went to Crowley's Website, they have about 10 types of passion flowers! Thanks so much Cindy for mentioning them. I guess I've got a little trip coming up.

If you're going to Crowley's,you should check out Florida Native Plants,it's on the way there.

Thanks for the great welcome tinael01!

And thanks for all the good info. I am looking forward to seeing Selby, been wanting to for about 20 years. I'll check out the nurseries. Sounds like it will be a full day tomorrow :-)
