Ricki, I have one ten feet tall that hasn't bloomed. What am I doing wrong? I was told they like lime, so I gave it that along with regular fertilizer. Full sun and plenty of water.

BTW, yours is lovely.

I was told to keep it out of the sun, that it would ONLY bloom in the shade. Also, not to over water it. What is fertilizer?

Is the portlandia still thriving...I have one on its way with a Stemmadenia from TT. I was wondering what type of soil you have it in since it thrives more in alkaline soil...also is it very fragrant, wafting....or very subtle...and does it really smell like hot chocolate as some describe it... thanks joe.

I am a sucker for scented plants, i tend grow herbs just to smell them instead of cook with them. Would love to find one to see how it smells.

Mine didn't last very long. Bloomed and died.

OH man....I hope I did not make a mistake ordering it. What did you think was behind the plant's demise...winter temps, infestation, fungus? Sorry to hear about that as it looks like an amazing plant...
