My yard is full of honey bees and I'm so happy. I have lots of pentas, salvias, porterweed, plubago, gingers, and other blooming plants that they love. I was watching five or six bees at work all on the same section of flowerbed a few minutes ago. But all of a sudden, (because my sister had a hefty bill earlier this summer for removal of honeybees, cleanout of the wall space and replacement of large section of drywall in her garage), it occurred to me that I maybe should think about where all these bees are living! Where is the hive? Where is the honey? If you support all these bees, do you add significant risk that they are making a home somewhere in your house? I really would not want to encourage that. I have no idea where they are going with all the nector. Hmmm.
