Confederate jasmine would be a beautiful choice.

Confederate Jasmine sounds wonderful. But I'm wondering if I have enough sun. Floridata says it needs "bright sun to part shade". I watched my spot yesterday, and although it did have 5 hours of dappled sun March, it seems to have less than that now.

I think 5 hours of dappled sun is enough. At my nursery we have them in bright shade and they are happy.

In looking for a shade tolerant vine in times past, it seemed bleeding heart vine held the most promise. I've grown it in shade and it does quite well. The bloom is decent though not prolific. You can read the other threads. It is known for being invasive (as many vine tend to be.) I'm growing it in sun now and it blooms much better. It's gorgeous, actually. (Am only in 2nd year of it so can't claim how difficult it might become.)
