Today my husband signed up for a 3 day cruise out of Tampa...I have something else going on. (Master Gardener conference)

Last October I went on Tom MacCubbin's cruise that started in Canada. It was a cold cruise but enjoyed going with plant folks. Their next planned trip is to New Zealand and is a bit out of my price range :-(

Aww... bummer. I went on a cruise out of Port Canaveral two years ago and froze! (It was early November).

The reason I have asked is because I just have a "feeling" that other GW-ers might be on this cruise because of comments in other forums on other websites.

Oh, I bet it is going to be wonderful! I won't be able to make it this year. I asked about your port because Carnival also goes out of Jacksonville now (on Thursdays).

First of all, let me say that if you've never been on a cruise then you are totally missing out! But I'll also add that if you've never cruised before, start small. People are constantly amazed at how easily they get seasick.

Secondly, I didn't do anything special to find this cruise. Not really. I am just a bit more determined than most and check three times per day and watch pricing trends. I've traveled so much, it's second-nature to spot the pattern.

Third, I leave my options open and just start looking at when is cheapest to go... then narrow to when in that range fits MY world... then watch like a hawk. That's how you'll know a deal when you spot it.

Everyone in my whole family and all my friends have me book their travel for them. I mean EVERYone. My OCD and miserly ways suit travel-booking perfectly! ;)
