If you don't get a trade, Brad's Buds and Blooms has them, located in Geneva, near Oveido, I believe. South Seminole Farms has a huge selection of gingers, also in Seminole county. I am not sure how close you are to these nurseries. Both have websites you can check out.

Morningglory, thanks so much for your response. I'm not familiar with Brads, I'll check that out. And thanks for the reminder about Seminole - that's a great nursery, and I'd forgotten they have a lot of gingers. Trick is, you have to go when they are in bloom, otherwise they can't Id them, as much of their field stock has lost it's tags due to sun fade. So this would be the right time of yeaR for a visit.

Re: SSF, I had the same experience, I hopped on a cart and went to the ginger section. There were so many it was overwhelming. I picked out some mystery gingers, and so far I have had one bloom which looks like Hedychium Disney, but as you noted, they were not labeled. I was planning on going back to see their Dancing Ladies, which are some of my favorites. I saw that Brad's Buds and Blooms listed Hedychium greeni as one they had available.

lol - yep that sounds familiar - going on that cart. I wend to the Brad's Buds and Blooms web site and clicked on gingers, but don't see greenii listed. Do still see it somewhere on there? If so, how did you navigate to it?

I checked back on Brads Buds and Blooms, they don't have it listed anymore, I just saw it there for $9.95 a few days ago. Touch of Nature in Georgia is another place I check and they have plants, tubers, and bulbs and Hedychium greenii is listed there. Not shipping until spring, though. I just recently ordered some bulbs from there and if the product you want is available, sometimes they will make arrangements outside of their normal shipping schedule. Good luck, apparently this is not an easy plant to find. I will be heading out to SSF next week and I'll ask about it.

Let me know if SSF has them, I won't have a chance to get there until at least next week.
