It could be they are hungry but I would also check for bugs/borers/grubs. I hope they just need fertilizer.

Try giving fertilizer. If that's the problem, they should green up quickly. If they don't look for some other cause. Bananas like a lot of fertilizer. I just gave mine 3 lbs!

Try epsom salts. Can't hurt and it might be the deficiency.

I just looked at my banana leaf and it has mealy bugs on it! Yack! Check under the leaf to make sure it doesn't have bugs on it.

W/ all the rain we've been getting, I'm sure nutrients are likely to have been washed out of the soil in many areas - compost is a good slow-release source for magnesium & potassium, etc.

I didn't see any sign of bugs, but the leaves just look worse today. I gave them a big pile of rabbit poo, so hopefully that will help. If not I will add some epsom salts too I guess.

The rabbit poo is good but slow.....try giving them chicken manure as an instant boost....it is hot but they can take it just don't go nuts:)

bananas need extra potassium but don't really think that will help with the yellowing.
