Black Magic EE

I acquired one of these from Karalynn during her garden party. At the time, it kind of lived up to it's name as it was very dark indeed. Upon getting it home, I searched and search for a spot to put it and finally ended up putting it in a large planter along with a philodendron (a smaller type, not the tree ones), some Wandering Jew and Party-Time Alternanthera. I can't say the combination is great, but it does work. The thing is, the other day I was sitting out in the lanai, where this planter resides and I noticed the Black Magic is now more like... Jungle Green. It's still darker than my regular Colocasias, but it definitely isn't as dark as it was. The grouping sits mostly in the shade of my lanai, but it gets enough sunlight to keep the pink accents going on the Alternanthera. Does it need more sunlight to get the Black Magic to darken again or less?
