| Found this seed pod while down in Venice. I don't recognize it so I guess it is from a tropical tree that doesn't grow where I am.

| It looks like the seed pod from a cycad. Cardboard palm, coontie, (not sago). |

| That was my thought. I wasn't there when it was found, My friends brought it back. |

| Be careful with the seeds of any of the cycads. They can be deadly toxic if ingested by a child or pet. |
