The oldest business in Lake Mary, Crystal Lake Nursery started in 1939. I never even knew it was around, and now it is closing. Open Fri & Sat's only from 9-4 all plants are 50% off. Walking around the property is really a flashback to old Florida. Talking with the owners is really interesting. They have been propagators and collectors. Have a whole lot of stuff I didn't recognize. Lots of gorgeous Crotons. Lots of ginger. Loads of beautiful old oaks. Looks like all the original buildings are still on the property.

I didn't have much room today. Might have to go back. There was another croton I liked. Thrilled to find a terrestrial pitcher plant for my pond.

Blue Ginger for the backyard.

Four nice size great condition plants for $40. Worth a visit if you are around the area. They said they were going to be open Fri & Sat's until they liquidate their inventory. Sad for them. A bit of history.
