Wow, what a cool looking plant! Perhaps it is Alocasia zebrina?

Carol - I thought it was A. zebrina at first, but mine is huge in comparison to every zebrina I've ever seen. The leaves are almost 2 feet long and stand 4 feet tall.

Ricky, the folks over at the Aroid forum are very good. Try over there and hopefully someone will see the post. Beautiful plant, and I agree that something is different about it from A. Tigrina.

Ricky, I could be dead wrong, but it seems yours is A. Zebrina. I saw two like your plant in Dave's Garden plantfiles. One is Palmbob's and the other is Giancarlos. Take a look. There are also some of the 'reticulatas' mixed in there, and I think that means the stripey pattern on the leaves, which yours does not have. Those also seem to have the thin, angular leaves yours does not have. Look at the link below at the one Agri Starts offers. They call it A. Zebrina 'African Mask'. Sure looks like yours, but whether this name is legit, I don't know.
