I don't have any answers for you because I also planted them for the first time. I got my seeds at the UCF sale booth some time ago. Mine where planted in summer straight on the ground and they are not flowering, I expect them blooming next warm season if they survive the winter. I don't know who sell the short time varieties but if you want to try a different one the Indian store also sells them.

A coworker planted some at work last year and they made it through the winter. Some of the branches were damaged by frost but overall the plant did fine. But the winter was warm, they were in a protected location and they bloomed before any cold weather. My plants looks Ok today so I'm hopeful I'll be able to harvest some beans.

My sister in new jersey was telling me of a dwarf plant that she got a huge harvest out of, this is her second year growing these in Nwe Jersey, imagine that! so as soon as I can get my hands on some seed I will share. Probly spring.
