Gryffindor ~ You should probably call your local Ag office to find out what is the best chill hour requirement for your area. Keep in mind that it is better to go a little lower with the chill hours than what you actually get with the weather when buying a fruit tree. This is because during the years of mild winters the chill hour need wouldn't be met for a high chill hour plant. As a result there will be no or poor fruit set because of it. Based on what you said it sounds like a 500 chill hour tree would work for you.
