I think it is a bromeliad of some sort, possibly a pineapple. :o)

Tillandsia of some sort......glad it is doing good. Pretty hardy plant! Was a good swap, all the plants we brought home are doing great.

Kathy, I suspected bromeliad and even looked up ananas, just in case. But this has burgundy on the top of the fronds, which doesn't show in this pic. And I didn't see this color in the images I found.

So I will keep looking and now will check out tillandsia.

Susie, your new plant is looking very nice in your garden. All the plants that I got at the recent party are also doing very good, and your roses have been flowering some very pretty blooms.
