I am using al,s mix in buckets this year and my tomatoes and cukes do not look very healthy. I am thinking they are not getting enough to eat.I used Plant tone 5-3-3 in the mix. What do you guys who do the container planting use after the original planting in the mix? Also I did not know what to use for the micro nutrient powder so I left that out of the mix. Anyone know what that is?

miracle-gro bloom booster at 1/4 strength, alternated with regular miracle-gro --at least once a week, get it all over the leaves, soak the soil. that's what i've been doing and i've been happy with the results, in and out of pots. don't overwater. you can get the micronutrient powder at lots of places--i got mine at a feed store. one bag lasts a little longer than forever.

Espoma Tomatoe Tone is a good option, you should only have to feed once, maybe a second feeding. Also used, 8 month slow release fert (garden fertilizer comes in a bottle called garden club) from lowes (the same bottle is Dynamite at homedepot I believe), it is in a bottle. With this mix, I also throw in a micro nutrient mix which I purchased from my local nursery. Both ways have done great. My biggest problem this year has been overwatering. Resolved that issue and my plants have come back perfectly.
