I have a fig!

------but only one so far. About 5 years ago, I got a Kadota fig tree about 1 foot tall at a plant swap. It's now at least six feet tall and I'm sure the past summer's growth spurt is because the roots have pushed thru it's (once roomy) pot and into the soil. Protecting it this winter is going to be a real challenge.
Can anyone share info about Kadota figs?

LOL!! I wish!! From what I've managed to learn about figs, Kadota aren't exactly Florida fare. But then, I didn't think one could grow olives in Florida, either. I'm going to do my best to keep this baby alive through the winter.
