Does anyone grow spicy jatropha in 9a?

Rhonda

I have been wanting a nice shrub for each side of the porch that has a long flowering period and interesting folaige. On the way home today I stopped at a great nursery that has very large and healthy trees and shrubs at a great price and picked up 2 5 gallon jatrophas for $12.50 each. They are beautiful!
I know it's iffy if they will make it through the winter, but I'm hoping they will at least come back in the spring.
They'll get sun in the morning up until around noon then will be in shade. They'll get protection from the winter winds. Do you think they stand a chance? I'm in zone 9a, 10 miles SW of Williston, 15 miles from the Gulf.
Thanks for any advice.
Rhonda
