rhoeo tricolor... reverting to green

My rhoeo tricolor, which I bought over a year ago because it is sterile, is reverting to green with purple undersides dwarf. Now, I plan on removing all the ones that have reverted, but they are kind of nice looking, so I was hoping to put them in some bare area. My question is... does anyone know if this is sterile as well, or will it go everywhere like the larger type of oyster plant? I have never seen a flower on these. Thanks.

Anna

RE: rhoeo tricolor... reverting to green

Hi
Wish I could help you but the only ones I grow are from the neighbors.lol definitely not the sterile type lol I have been struggling with an abutilon and a tricolored ficus that are reverting big timelol. Was told the answer is more light and to prune off the green parts . Since they are growing in full sun and if I prune the solid leaves there will be none left lol.
Maybe some really sharp gardener will jump in and help us both?? gary

My variegated mahoe tree was reverting to green and it was suggested to me that is was getting to much nitrogen. I was also told that many of the variegated plants just naturally want to revert. I know this doesn't help much, sorry.
