Papa Jim - We had some frost on the lawn this morning and I thought some things maybe didn't survived, but I was wrong and everything in the garden is doing fine including the tomatoes.

We just moved to Winter Springs from Lake Placid and thought it would be colder up here, since we're now a couple hours north-er. But this morning we drove back to LP to move some more stuff, and I was surprised at all the plants that got frost-bitten. My poor bananas! I purposely left them and took more tender plants first, thinking they'd be warmer "down south". But we brought them with us this trip, so I hope they'll not croak. Along with the hibiscus plants and the purple firespikes and bouganvilleas.

Guess I should've listened when hubby warned me about making more tropical babies!

Thank you, I hope that you can save a lot of your plants. I put some of the tropical fruit trees in the greenhouse already, some are in the porch and I am having a good harvest of cold weather veggies. Garden is better than ever, we had two parties last two Saturdays to share the harvest with friends.
