Any success stories with Chinese Sacred Lily?

I planted Chinese Sacred Lily (Narcissus tazetta v. orientalis) bulbs last year. They had a lot of foliage, but no blooms. I thought maybe they might need a year to settle in. But once again this year, lots of foliage & no bloom stalks. I found a blog post (link below) from an author in Austin who indicates that maybe they do have a chilling requirement to bloom based on experimentation with artificial chilling.

So I'm curious - has anyone in FL had success getting them to bloom as ordinary garden plants without forcing them? Given that last year was a record cold one (I'm in the Orlando area), I'd like to understand if my lack of blooms has to do with chilling, or if there is some other factor. If they do require chilling hours, I'll be replacing them with something else...

Here is a link that might be useful: Chinese Sacred Lily Chilling Experiment
