March blooms in North FL

Hello, This is my first post & I will try to keep it short. I will be hosting an outdoor wedding reception at the end of March 2015 and would like any advice about what will be blooming or what shrubs/plants I could plant now (December) that would bloom around that time. My front yard is basically an open field, the front porch is lined with loropetalum. We've been in our house 4 years and I've managed to get these and some indian hawthorn, rose bushes, one camellia and gardenia (2 gardenias died), confederate jasmine and some unhealthy looking crepe myrtles to survive. Mainly need to decorate the front where the loropetalum is located. Thought maybe stating what has grown here would help(?) Has been a long process of trial and error, (I have NO prior gardening experience), and also need help on how to get this black moldy looking mess off the crepe myrtles. Thanks to all in advance. (these 2 pics are not recent, the shrubs are all filled in now)
