MH, as long as the stalks aren't soft, by spring/summer new growth should sprout. After it looks healthy, and days get longer, spring-like, you can start feeding w/a high nitrogen fertilizer..Once a month should do. The nitrogen, (first number on the bottle of fertilizer) should be highest, which promotes leaf growth. I hope your plant does well, -35 makes me cold just thinking about it..LOL..Stay warm..Toni

I'd say have a little patients and wait to see if the bare stalks sprout. If not you can prune them off. You can try rooting 3 inch sections of those stalks, just place them in a cup of water so the water is about 1-2 inches up from the bottom and wait. I started 3 new plants this way last fall.
