| Hi everyone!!!
Today I picked up a purple passion (gynura) and an oxalis triangularis "mijke". They are great little plants but I can't seem to find vey much about them when I do an internet search.(at least to my liking lol) Can anyone help me out with their care? Thanks in advance.

| Well... I have a purple passion sitting behind me on the window sill. They are strange ones - shrubby in growth with those pretty dark purple fuzzy leaves and they will eventually produce yellow, dandelion-looking flowers (although they don't open up as flat as a dandelion). If you leave the stinky flowers on, they eventually turn into something that looks exactly like those white dandelion puffballs, and the balls will eventually fall apart to release the seeds. I guess if it was planted outside, it would scatter the seeds on the wind like a dandelion. Then all the leaves on the stems will dry up and fall off...lol. But if you just keep watering and feeding, new leaves will sprout from the now woody stems (some from the roots) and they go through the whole growth-flower-puffball-puffball explode-die-regrow cycle again. Mine is sitting in a very very bright north window that maybe gets less than a half hour of sun during the day. Been sitting there for oh... about 5 years now. |

| You are asking how to care for oxalis triangularis? Well, here at my house the way to get this plant to multiply is to vigorously mow, pluck and dig it out of the lawn. A week or so later you'll have 3 or 4 more. (Sorry, couldn't help myself). |
