Hi, I don't know where to begin because I have so many. However, I started elephant's ear this year and I can truly say that I love the foliage. The leaves are bigger then I had anticipated and just, simply, outstanding....Wayne

Omniphasic, is Aeonium 'Sunburst' an A. arboreum?
My favourite foliage plants besides my coloured echeverias are marantas, green and white aspidistra, variegated Fatsia japonica, variegated Sweet William, Ctananthe setosa and C. 'Golden Mosaic', Dracaena 'Song of India', Dracaena warneckii, variegated Buddleia davidii, Sansevieria hahnii 'Silver Marginata' and Sansevieria 'Golden Hahnii', Ledebouria socialis, Drimiopsis maculata, three different variegated rubber plants (Ficus elastica), Begonia bowerae 'Tiger', and variegated Yucca elephantipes. It's probably lucky I can't think of the rest!

All time favorite?? That's Hosta. But!! I have a gold bleeding heart that was fantastic this year--about 4' wide and high and a real stand out with Hosta June planted in front. Big bloomer, too, and that bright gold foliage brings a warmth that the regular dicentra can't touch. It's growing alongside cimicifuga, Hillside Beauty, and it is a great combo!

Coleus is my most reliable favorite. I have really come to love persian shield. This year I am also growing perila magila. I am not sure if I will like it as much as the others or not.

Greetings! I forgot to add one of my favorites that I am growing in 3' tall urns this year on the porch. Houttinia. It is doing very well so far and running down the sides of the urn. Have a great weekend and a great garden! Jon.

I've got a 'thing' about purple, so I have to say all my redish-purple leaf heuchera. Even in my climate the foliage stays colorful all year. I just really love these, and I'll be getting more. I just thought of the purple colored sedum, 'Vera Jamison' and 'Purple Emperor', and the groundcover sedum 'Voodoo', which is more redish. Not only beautiful, but hardy as well.

Gotta love those heucheras, eh? :)
My favorite changes every year! This year's prize goes to my Salix integra Hakuro Nishiki (Japanese Willow). So many shades on one bush!

Wow - I grow a lot of foliage plants because my back yard has shade most of the day. Hostas 'Sum and Substance' is one of my favorites and has been in the ground for about 5 years now, as is 'Blue Angel', 'August Moon', 'Frances Williams', 'Revolution', 'Night Before Xmas', 'Honeybells', and new 'Remember Me'. I love the meadow rues, acanthis mollis, aruncus diocious, astilbes, petasites gigantea 'variegata', arums, Japanese Painted Ferns, Holly Ferns, moneywort, new Heucheras 'Stormy Seas' and 'Silver Light', and Hercherella 'Viking Ship', oakleaf hydrangea (great all season!), lamium 'Herman's Pride', porcelain vine (ampelopsis brevipedunculata), variegated sedge, itea (Virginia Sweetspire "Little Henry"), variegated ivy and vinca, upright EE, eupatorium 'Chocolate', Begonia 'grandis' (hardy), variegated Solomon's Seal, variegated iris pallida, rue, variegated liriope (the yellow/green, and the white/green). In front, ornamental grasses miscanthus 'morning light', and panicum 'Heavy Metal', hardy fennel, bronze fennel, fern-leaf dill, new centaurea (lime green foliage with bright purple flowers), clary sage (love those huge leaves), fern-leaf tansy, purple basil, lavendar'Hidcote', Rosemary, canna 'Bankok', verbascum 'Jackie', and regular ole verbascum, and many other flowering plants. I especially like the foliage on Texas Star Hibiscus because it is very cut-leaf, like Japanese Maples, and gets about 10' feet tall - very striking.
