Rose of Sharon Dormancy?

We had a cold winter here. I have two Rose of Sharon bushes. One was very slow to leaf out. The other is still dormant. Stems are green. I did see a few tentative buds peek out on one limb this week. How long could it take for this bush to wake up? Or is it really in a death mode? Thanks.

As you already know by now, it already was awake, as evidenced by the bud movement. Soil temp plays a big part in when the plant wakes up, so cold winters with little snow cover makes the plant want to sleep in.
