I'm not a caladium grower, but I have read that the blooms (which look a bit like calla lily blooms) should be removed to enhance the vigor of the foliage.

Maybe someone with more experience will chime in?

Oh I think the blooms are cool! Caladiums are aroids and have blooms similar to other aroids like jack-in-the-pulpits, etc.

They can be removed if desired but I left mine on and didn't see any appreciable change in the amount and size of later leaves.
