I have a Trial Bed looking out North. Early this spring I noticed what I thought was a pine tree seedling, I had got as a seed from a cone I found in Maine when there last August, from a cemetary. Well, I now don;t think it is! It just keeps getting taller faster and is approaching 4 feet! By the photos (sorry, no dij this trip!), you can see it looks Pinus-y, but has reddish stems where they intersect with the main stalk (don't know if you can see this). This may be a clue as to what it is. Might anyone help? Hope so. Haven;t pulled it up to see what the root system looks like, that might be the next step.
