Frosty Morn and other sedum

I just gifted a friend with an exceptionally large (nursery grown) specimen of Frosty Morn Sedum and she immediately said "let me know when you'll want to split some of it for your yard". I also have two other sedum (one is red carpet) which I'd like to give her divisions of, but when would be the best time for this and do you have any particular recommendations/cautions? Thanks.

I have divided and mailed sedums at all times of the year with 100% success. These succulents are very sturdy & forgiving! I always water the newly potted divisions (or cuttings)a little more than usual until they are well rooted, and I keep them in the shade for a few days to avoid shocking them. That's all there is to it - easy!

Sedums don't mind moving at all. And not only can you divide a chunk of roots, you can trim the top of each stalk and stick the tips in the soil. You can multiply sedum very quickly this way.
