Propagating Sun Coleus?

I have been told that the Sun coleus hybrids are propagated by vegatation only. Is this true? Has anybody raised seedlings that have been true to type?

I've been growing the seeds from my Sun Coleus for several years now, and I've never had one that looks like it's parent. Sometimes I can tell by looking at the seedling who the parent (Mom) was, but the seedling's have never been exactly the same as the parent.
