a coleus question....browning leaf tips

Hello,

I have a coleus cutting that I got from a very special friend. The original plant was her mother's, and every year she has taken cuttings to keep it going. So it may be pretty old. I make sure to keep it damp, not wet, and have been periodically misting it. However, the edges of the leaves are browning. The newer leaves come in fine, but then they eventually brown as well. The plant itself doesn't seem to be dying. Is there anything I can do short of making new cuttings? I'm afraid I'll still have the same problem if I do. Thanks in advance.

Kim
