| For winter storage, should Castor Bean seeds be refrigerated
or frozen? Thanks, Dale |

| I've had good luck with taking the beans out of the pod, air drying them, and storing them in a glass jar. I haven't tried refrigerating or freezing, so I can't comment on that. Have a good day! |

| I've had no problem overwintering them at room temperature. For long term storage (2 or more years) refrigeration may help. |

| Please remember that all parts of the castor bean plant are poisonous and store accordingly.-Sandy |

| They don't need cold stratification, so I would be reluctant to refrigerate unless in an airtight container. Frost free refrigerators dry exposed seeds quickly. I had some seeds I had kept for 5 or more years in a hard cardboard box with a tight lid, in my basement. I gave them to a friend & she had good success with germination. Al |
