Hello and Finished 1st round of seed orders

First post to the forums! Hello!

Just finished first round of seed orders for 2009. Since this is my first year of 4 season gardening after 15 yrs of summer-only gardens, I'm not sure how much I'll plant from existing seed stock in early spring, so I might have to get some more later.

Might be getting a bit of a thaw here in SLC, so I can wade thru the snow to see if any lettuces survived under the low tunnels I built in Nov. Had a big home-grown salad despite 2 wks unusually heavy snows on Jan 2 (while watching Sugar Bowl. go Utes!), inspirational for 2009.

Looking forward to trying my first Napoli carrots, if I can find them under the white stuff.

Hi Annie,

This is my first year of 4-season gardening too. I don't have low tunnels but a few cold frames. I had a small home-grown salad on Christmas Eve, and have cut some parsley here and there. I did try carrots, but really have no idea when to harvest, lol. Not only have I never done carrots at all, but certainly have never tried them through winter. Plus we got cold weather earlier and more severely than usual, so I don't know how much time everything had to get a good start.

Haven't placed my veggie seed orders yet. I still have to go through what I have before I order new.
