Frogs in the cold frame

I went to harvest some lettuce in the cold frame today and found a spring peeper sitting on a lettuce leaf. Last year when I removed the cold frames covering my raised beds, I found a fair number of treefrogs that had been living in my cold frames where they were hopefully gorging themselves on slugs ans small insects. Its looks like they are moving in again this year.

This next summer I may try to collect up and keep in a terrarium some of the baby toads that are so numerous in late summer and introduce them to the cold frames when I set them up in the fall. Normally by the time I set up the frames the small toads will have already buried themselves for winter hibernation. The cold frames are a warmer environment (I still have self-sown Matt's Wild cherry tomato seedlings growing in them), so hopefully the toads can remain active during sunny days.
