Julieann, I have gotten at least 2 crops most years, but I don't put too many in the ground; i.e. tomaties, eggplant, peppers, etc. go in Large pots with a large water reservoir at the bottom. That way, if we get a tropical storm or worse, I can move them under cover and hope for the best.
Big Lots here in the Jacksonville area had very large pots with a huge water reservoir that I'm real excited to find. Scarfed up all they had. These are much more mobile for me than having a bunch of large containers hooked to drip irrigation. Works for me :)
