I'm in upper middle Georgia. I've had good luck and bad luck with these vegetables in the past from bumper crops with turnips up to 8 or 9 pounds and broccoli heads 8" in diameter...to nothing. I'm know soil ph, fertilizer, water is the key. Can anyone give me a general idea of an all purpose fertilizer formula that you've had good luck with? My soil PH probably is slightly Acidic--around 6 from a test last year. I applied lime but suspect it still may be some below neutral. I plan on putting these in behind field peas (that I had poor results with this year.)I'm not trying to set records, just make it worth the while.
