Four Season Vegetable Gardening

I live in Southern Calif., South Orange county. Temps hit 90's to mid 90's in the afternoon hours during summer months. It seldom drops below 40 in the winter.

Is there any way I can grow tropical fruits such as pineapple or banana's outdoors, possibly in a covered shelter that would keep them in humid conditions for a good portion of the year.

If anyone out there has tried it or can offer any suggestions, let me know......

You can keep bananas & pineapples outside although they will not bear fruit in the winter. It usually does not frost in your area but you might need to protect them when you get frost warnings.
