My first pick is the "August Gardenia"...Huge flowers and hard to kill. Almost bug resistant! Good grower indoors too and does seem to do well even with little humidity.

Second..."Miami Supreme". A little harder to keep mites off and leaves do turn yellow more often. I little bit sensitive to watering needs and enviromental changes. Seems to need alot of humidity to perform it's best. But the flowers and leaves are so beautiful, especially in summer!! Both have very strong fragrance..:-)

Might be why they recommend this one for Florida...High Humidity we have...

I bought mine at H. Depot, Lowes and Kmart! I'm sure Wally world has it too... All three are grafted(tree-shape)not bush type. If you are planting them in the ground, they recommend you buy the grafted ones, supposedly some gardenias are suceptible to nematodes...If you put them in containers, it shoudn't make a difference. For me,I prefer the tree shape.
