non-toxic insect control for tropical plants

I live in Connecticut, and all of my tropical friends (varieties of Jasmine, Gardenias, Citrus, Allamandas, Cestrum, and others) have been in since late September (I think). Despite spraying them with Neem Oil spray before coming inside, I have found some Spider Mites, Aphids, and White Flies. It's all pretty minor, for now, but they will need to be treated soon. (tomorrow is my day off... guess what I'll be doing!)

My question is: is there is a non-toxic way to get rid of these pests??? Neem Oil stinks, and it drives my family crazy. Plus, my plants are mostly in the kitchen. I have a humidifier near my plants, to help combat the effects of the pellet stove that dries us up completely. I put a small fan near the plants where I have found Mites to help circulate the air (those plants are on my Dining Room table under a grow light). ah yes- tropical gardening in the northeast.... lol ;0)

Does anyone have advice? (Or should we just move to Florida, which is my first choice!!!!)

I appreciate any advice any of you can give me!
