My mahonias aren't blooming. They bloomed last year when I had them in full sun, but then I read that they liked the shade so I moved them. Are yours in the shade?

Sweet olive [osmanthus fragrans, I guess] has been blooming off and on for a couple of months, and a new loquat blossom opens every couple of days.

Lack of bloom probably much more likely to be due to transplanting and cutting of roots.

Sweet olive 'Fudingzhu' even though I mistreat it and forget to keep it moist; an orchid or two indoors, and my winter honeysuckle, lonicera x. purpusii opened a few blooms outside even after the snow and temps in the teens this past week -- they were on a branch near a window and took advantage of the higher temp!

I cut them and brought 'em in for my first scent of spring!

The Edgeworthia chrysantha is knocking my socks off right now! My Daphne odora is just getting cranked up and my Fudingzhu osmanthus have been blooming on and off since September. My Lonicera fragrantissima is starting to work its magic too. I don't have one, but the Prunus mume in our area are quite fragrant right now. We are having a mild winter and it seems the fragrance on everything is much more noticeable.
