Hello,

Has anyone tried to grow O. fragrans as a standard? I am thinking of making a standard (tree) about 10 feet tall. Will it work?

Positively. I visited the Westlake in Hangzhou, China. There were thousands of Osmanthus around botanical garden and as shade tree for city streets. Most of them over 20 feet. In Nanjing City, China. They look like forest in mountain park.

I have one in ground for 10 years, about 9 feet.

Attached a picture at Westlake.
