Brunfelsia nitida in 5:1:1 soil mix

Hi! I just repotted my Brunfelsia nitida that I got from Logee's last year in Al's 5:1:1 mix. I was surprised by the smallish amount of roots compared to the upper portion of the plant so I hope this will improve things. Has anyone else tried growing brunfelsias in Al's mix? I'm a little concerned that my watering chores will be doubled (if not tripled since Oklahoma can be murder in the summer) but I'm hoping this year to have blooms (I've never smelled them but I'm hoping for a bumper crop).

I don't grow in Al's mix but that soil is superior than the one I"m currently growing in that's for sure! You could modify the formula for more peat if you would like to stretch the watering period. :)

Thanks! I thought about that. I can't wait to smell the blooms. My wish list for this year just keeps getting longer and longer!
