What Can I Plant On a Large Slope Behind My House?

I'm looking for ideas of something fragrant to plant that would cover a large area of hillside behind my house just off my deck. The hillside is not steep; it's a gentle slope. This area would get only partial sun.

What can I plant there that would smeall fragrant and maybe attract hummingbirds or butterflies? I especially like pink, purple, or blue flowers and a comibination of things that would bloom at different times would be a plus. Since it's a large area, I'd like something that will cover a large area without too much fuss and upkeep from me.

Thanks in advance for your ideas.

I'd suggest honey suckle, but that stuff is INVASIVE! Trumpet vine is pretty and attracts hummingbirds and stuff but it likes trees to grow on and doesn't smell. You might want to try growing nicotania flowering tobacco (that smells wonderful!), and the deer usually leave it alone. You might also like to try sweet shrub, I think they can take part shade. You can also try datura, they smell really good and the deer usually leave them alone. My mom had hers overwinter, but mine usually come back from the root the next year. They also re seed pretty well. Moonflower vines smell really good too at night. hope these help!
