Hello all!
I am wondering if anyone knows which Artemisia has the most fragrance, that would do well in Z5?
Thank you in advance!

I don't know which ones have the 'most' fragrance, but the following are commercially processed for their essential oils:

Artemesia vulgaris (yields Armoise Oil)
Aretmesia absinthum (yields Wormwood Oil)
Artemesia pallens (yields Davana Oil)

smaller amounts of Artemesia annua are also processed for essential oil.

hope that helps

Artemisias not only tend to vary from cultivar to cultivar, but they interbreed a lot, so it's not always easy to predict the fragrance from the name.

Also, some are more an acquired taste, which some folks like and others find kinda rank, so you're best off checking local nurseries in the spring and smelling the foliage in person.
