I think your investment will be well worth it. :)

Aglaia likes a fast draining mix (let the mix dry a bit between waterings). I make my own 5:1:1 mix which you can find the instructions for by searching for 5:1:1 on this site.
You could also just add extra perlite to a normal mix like Miracle Gro.

Hello, Mine is in 100% coir. It was in coir and I just up pot the plant with additional coir last year. Don't over pot it.
