Has anyone been able to grow artabotrys from seed? The plants are impossible to buy in Australia, and I've tried growing them from overseas-bought seed numerous times without any luck (each time either soaking or abrading the hard seeds, sometimes both). I'm wondering if it's because the seed has to be very fresh (assuming that the seeds I used weren't, as sellers won't admit this)? I had no luck growing either cananga or michelia champaca until I got hold of fresh seed, and then they germinated well.

Tips/suggestions/any advice would be much appreciated.
