I thought I would try Sweet Peas again this spring. I have tried different varieties through the years. All were supposed to be old fashioned types and advertised as fragrant. Several varieties came from Select Seeds. I didn't find any of them to be exceptionally fragrant. Does anyone here have a very fragrant favorite? Thanks! Linda Renee

I planted a colorful heirloom blend called 'Starry Night' a few years ago. The fragrance was outstanding.

Have you tried "April in Paris"? It is supposed to be one of the most fragrant. I've only grown maybe half dozen named varieties-all selected for strong fragrance-and to my nose I didn't necessarily notice this one being "most" fragrant, but it is definitely up there.

Try "Old Spice" sweet pea, easy to grow and very fragrant. It's available from Southern Exposure Seed if you cannot find it locally.
